Video GP Consultations

Meridian Health puts a fully qualified GP in your pocket. Every video consultation is with a GMC-registered doctor who has trained and worked within the NHS, so you get the same clinical standards you’d expect from your local surgery — without the six-week wait for an appointment.

What we can help with

Consultations are suitable for a wide range of non-emergency concerns, including:

• Minor ailments such as coughs, colds, sore throats, earache and urinary infections
• Skin problems including rashes, eczema, acne and suspected moles
• Mental health support for anxiety, low mood and stress
• Men’s and women’s health, including contraception advice
• Long-term conditions such as asthma, high blood pressure and diabetes reviews

What happens during your consultation

You’ll answer a short online questionnaire before your appointment, which gives your GP the essentials in advance. During the secure video call they’ll ask further questions, may request photos of a condition such as a rash, and agree a treatment plan with you. Afterwards you’ll receive a written after-visit summary, usually within an hour.

How to get started

Simply choose a time that suits you — weekday, evening or weekend — and pay the single £29 consultation fee. No subscription, no hidden charges. If your GP feels you need to be seen face-to-face, they’ll arrange an appropriate referral rather than making you wait.

If you’re experiencing a life-threatening emergency, always call 999 or attend your nearest A&E department — Meridian Health is not an emergency service.
